Eden’s assists in Greece-Belgium, and the future of Belgium´s national team.

Via a corner, Eden provided the assist to the goal of Chadli, who scored via the head.

Via a great pass in between all defenders, he offered Vermaelen an easy one-to-one with Greeces goalkeeper, but Vermaelen shot wide and didn’t find the goal for the victory: Highlights Greece-Belgium 1-1. The second crucial mistake of Vermaelen in the same match, who already contributed to the first Greek goal. Luckily he is a real winner, and can be forgiven.

Good news is however, that national coach George Leekens is finally seeing the light after numerous games, and is figuring out which are his best players available. What Dick Advocaat figured out in 5 games, he is finally seeing after game 23. Well, you get what you pay for…

He already put his best defenders, (2 on wrong positions), so in the best order being this: Vermaelen, Kompany, Lombaerts, Alderweireld), his best midfielders being Hazard, Witsel, Fellaini, Defour.

Depending on a stronger or less stronger adversary, he just needs to juggle between adding Mertens (offensive), or Vertonghen (defensive). Lukaku will be the (only) main striker, if he gets his playtime again in another club. Substitutes should be in Defense: Van Damme, Van Buyten, Simons, midfield: De Bruyne, Odjidja, Dembélé, Attack: Vossen, Sonck, Mirallas. With these, Belgium finally has a team which is talent wise in the world’s top 30 and good to go to the World Cup in 2014.

Leekens better not screw up this time.
