Why? Let’s analyze this. Messi is without any competition the best player on the planet. With all respect to great players like Iniesta, Javi, Ronaldo, or even Ibrahimovic, there is only one player that is as good as unstoppable, when placed in any team. His technique is flawless, and he can dribble 7 guys in a row, and score from any position with any foot at any speed. He can win the World Cup on his own, and all the others just can’t.

Leonel Messi is at this moment 4 years older than Eden.
When Messi was 20, his value was estimated 40 Million. Moreover, after Messi played his first match for the first team of Barcelona, it took him …7 month to make his first goal. So even for Messi, the best player ever, it took time to evolve and get better to the level he currently has. So time is a key factor for good players to become better. And there is no guarantee, Eden will ever get close to Messi’s level.

So forget all comparisons with Messi, and let’s enjoy the player Eden is at the moment.
