Not only has Eden drawn the attention of world’s biggest clubs, with his talent, gameplay, and vista. Eden is also a player you can count on. Eden has played his 100th consecutive match in Ligue 1. A phenomenal number. Eden hasn’t been injured nor suspended, since 9th October 2009, and has played in all matches. A record in France!

This is very remarkable because statistics have shown, that from the more important European competitions, Eden is one of the most tackled players, and defenders often need to hit the brakes to stop him.

Now when we look at this into details, we can draw several conclusions. First of all, Eden has been lucky not to get an injury. Murphy’s law is always waiting around the corner, and a football player can get injured at any time, especially offensive players.

Eden Hazard is a fair player with a remarkable health.

But, it also proves that Eden is a healthy and balanced player, and knows how to take care and listen to his body. Often players, overdue their efforts, resulting in small injuries. Or players get injuries from a heavy nightlife, unhealthy food. There are stories of players getting muscle injuries, which later were traces back to small but ignored teeth infections.  Or players driving home in the car for 8 hours, and then wondering my they got a muscle torn. Some players also simply use “being injured” as a small holiday.

Eden always wants to play. He hasn’t even missed a match due to illness.

We can also with determination say Eden Hazard is a fair player, and is not often suspended by yellow or red cards. He hardly looses his temper, even when defenders tackle him extra hard. He never freaks out, spits, or complain too much with the referees.

Success coaches like Ferguson, Mourinho or Guardiola take these statistics into account when looking for top players. A coach of a top club needs to win every week, and therefore needs players that are there to deliver, week after week.
