Eden Hazard put as center forward in Juve – Chelsea
Eden Hazard replaces Torres as attacker.
Remarkable story: The Daily Mail Online reports Di Matteo is putting Eden Hazard on the center forward spot, instead of Torres. Chelsea has to get at least a point to be sure to make it onto the next round. But the odds aren’t looking good for Chelsea. Juventus are practically unbeaten for a very long time, and almost seem to be back where they belong: at least in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Chelsea could use minimum a draw.
Last weekend, Chelsea faced a loss at West Bromwich, and Torres didn’t play well. As the matter of fact, he only scored one goal so far in the Champions League. Di Matteo feels the pressure from Abramovich on his neck, and has to try something to change the odds. Like we reported earlier, Chelsea doesn’t have another World Class striker, and by putting Eden in the frontline, Di Matteo is sending a signal to his chef: “Hey Boss, I need another striker to win prices.”
What about Di Matteo if Chelsea looses again.
Playing Eden Hazard as attacker against Italian defenders, is not a gift, and frankly we don’t see Eden Hazard playing a superb game on that position. Unless Chelsea is setting up a wall, and just aim for the counter, free kicks and corners.
Media report that Abramovich has made some first contact towards Pep Guardiola, the former success coach of Barcelona.
It is not impossible for a switch to happen. Abramovich has invested a lot, and doesn’t want hís team to be eleminated in early stages for the Champions League or the Championship.
Guardiola to come into picture if Chelsea looses more points?
Other media report that Mourinho would be looking for houses in London recently. But at least until the end of the season Mourinho will not leave Madrid, and chances that he would replace Ferguson at Manchester United, are far greater than signing for Chelsea. Mourinho loves challenges, but probably knowing his personality (some call it ego) he probably wouldn’t accept anymore, that Roman would tell him what to do. After all, he is the Special One.
