Eden Hazard nominated for FIFA World best 11 midfielders of the year 2012.
Chelsea’s midfielder Eden Hazard has been nominated by the FIFA and the FIFPro organisation for the World Best 11 Midfielders of the year 2012. Only three of them will be presented during the FIFA “Ballon d’Or” Gala, which is held on Monday 7th of January 2013.
In other words, based on all votes of the professional footballers in the world, these footballers have been elected as the world’s best midfielders for their performances in 2012.
This year, there is only one midfielder making his debut on the shortlist for the FIFA FIFPro World 11: Eden Hazard. In May, the 21-year Belgian international was voted Best Player in the French Ligue 1 for the second consecutive year, after another splendid season at Lille where he scored 15 goals and had 20 assists last season. He also was never injured or suspended during that period. In June, he moved to Champions League winner Chelsea, where he had a dazzling start, with several important assists and goals.
