Eden Hazard hammers Chelsea past Sparta Prague.

Eden Hazard gave his club Chelsea the win over Sparta Prague in the last sixteen of the Europa League competition.

Eden Hazard struck in the 92nd minute of a game that looked destined for extra time and perhaps penalties. The first game ended in 0-1 in Prague, and after 90 minutes, Sparta was 0-1 in the lead at Stamford Bridge.

With a brilliant move, the Belgian international slalomed past two defenders and launched a rocket past Sparta goalkeeper Vaclik into the top corner of the net. Kaboom! The Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge exploded with both delight and relief.

It had been some time since we saw some real class action sparkling from Eden’s feet, but we could say that his 3 match ban, has helped him to rest and regain more drive and inspiration.

It is still very obvious that Chelsea misses the high class attacker it needs. Torres missed a bunch of opportunities, and Chelsea got pretty close to elimination. Being eliminated out of two European competitions at an early stage in one season after being the champions of the entire continent last summer would have been a disgrace for Chelsea, and it’s fans.
