Chelsea coach Di Matteo signs 2 year contract at Chelsea

Roberto Di Matteo has signed a two-year contract to be the manager of Chelsea during this period.
Di Matteo took over as interim boss in March after  coach Andre Villas-Boas was fired after insufficient results. Di Matteo took this opportunits, and guided  the Blues to the Champions League and FA Cup titles.

He was less successful in the Premier League, as Chelsea finished only in 6th position, but his efforts seems to have convinced owner Roman Abramovich.

The club released the following: “Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that Roberto Di Matteo has been appointed manager and first-team coach on a permanent basis. The Italian returned to Stamford Bridge today following his holiday to finalise a two-year contract.”

This is good news for Eden Hazard, as it is known that Di Matteo is a big fan of Eden, and he insisted on the transfer. Also his new team will be built around Eden Hazard on the nr. 10 spot.
