The 2012 UEFA Super Cup will bring together former winners Chelsea FC and Club Atlético de Madrid in the annual contest at the Stade Louis II in Monaco on 31 August.

Fresh UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea will be taking on 2012 UEFA Europa League winners Atlético.

The Blues won the trophy in 1998 as UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup winners, when they had a 1-0 victory against Real Madrid CF.

Thibaut Courtois… Bought by Chelsea and borrowed to Atletico. He has penalty stopping qualities, however is far younger than Czech.

Atlético were also victorious on their only UEFA Super Cup appearance, winning the 2010 edition by overcoming FC Internazionale Milano 2-0 thanks to goals by José Antonio Reyes and Sergio Agüero.

The match will be touch because Falcao has shown against Altlético Bilbao that he is thé man to stop on Madrid’s side.

From Chelsea side, the fans are counting on Torres & Eden Hazard to win the cup. On both sides there are 2 good goalkeepers: Petr Czech, and … Thibaut Courtois. And guess what: Courtois is Belgian, and a …Chelsea player… but playing for Altlético now. He had a great first season there and won the UEFA Europa League Cup.
